Proteins

Proteins are one of the major macronutrients which must be taken with the diet, are composed of smaller units, amino acids, and have multiple roles in the body both from the structural point of view and functional one. Proteins are essential for everyone, as they contribute to the maintenance of normal bone. In particular, however, athletes who train intensively, should carefully consider supplementing this nutrient. Proteins contribute to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.
